Eid: Halims Congratulates Muslim Ummah on Completion of Ramadan

Member representing Ankpa-Omala-Olamaboro federal constituency of Kogi State and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Mines and Steel Development, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the year 1441 AH Ramadan Fast as well as the Eid celebration.

Halims, in his goodwill message, expressed optimism that the current difficulties been experienced as a result of the Coronavirus will soon be history.

He said the one month of spiritual obligation in the form of fast as well as other forms of Worship during the Ramadan period all exemplifies sacrifice, alms giving to the needy, continuous exhibition of piety cum Charity to one another and the rewards therein shall serve as an intercession between God and humanity.

The lawmaker called on government functionaries and those that have been blessed by Almighty Allah to be their brothers’ keepers by assisting the less privileged in their respective communities praying for Allah’s blessing and protection on the people.

He urged Muslim faithful to use the period to pray for an end to pandemic, while appealing that the Sallah celebration be observed with maximum adherence to the COVID-19 preventive measures as a way to complement government’s efforts aimed at containing the spread of the virus.

He thereafter assured the people of his Federal Constituency of robust legislative impacts as soon as normalcy returns to the nation’s economic and policy implementation plans.
