Leading All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Kogi State and the Deputy Chief of Staff to Kogi State governor, Alh. Yakubu Isah Omade has commended the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello for his pro-people oriented administration and execution of massive infrastructure project in the last three years.

Omade, who gave the commendation while addressing newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, said Bello’s giant strides in the area of industrialization, improved welfare of public servants and human capital development is unprecedented in the history of the state.

In a special commendation, he expressed satisfaction with the sense of belonging given the neglected people of Kogi State by Gov. Bello and the show of concern to the plight of the poor in the State.

“We are grateful to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his foresight and visionary leadership, which has taken upon the onerous task of bringing relief to the peace-loving but neglected indigenes of the state.

“I can say without fear of contradiction that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has performed creditably well especially in caring for the less privileged in the state. It shows that Gov. Bello is considerate, caring, listening and lover of the poor. It means he has milk of human kindness flowing in him; which is unfortunately lacking in most of our political office holders today,” he said.

Speaking further, Alh. Omade, who explained that Bello’s developmental agenda was akin to the Change Agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari first tenure said: “No government in recent years has shown the kind of commitment Bello’s administration has exuded in its quest to alleviate poverty and better the lot of the poor”

Omade described Governor Bello as “a beacon of hope and Kogi State’s light of tomorrow” saying the State under Bello has become a reference point in the welfare of government workers.

“At a time, more than half of the 36 states in the country are owing workers’ salaries and pensions for many months which Kogi State was also part of the ugly incident before the state received bailout that clears all the outstanding arears, now Kogi State civil servant now gets his salary every 25th of the month. It is gladdening that no genuine worker in the state is being owed any form of salary under the leadership of Gov. Bello. This is a no mean feat, especially at this period of economic hardship,” Omade said.

Omade also lauded the governor’s industrial revolution in the state, singling out the Ejiba Rice Mill, which he described as “a huge industrial investment and an avenue for creation of wealth and employment.

“You know, we are agricultural people in Nigeria, particularly we the people of Kogi State are very famous in farming. Therefore, by establishing a Rice Mill factory in Kogi State, it is selling the state and indeed the whole nation to the world. It has created employment, it has brought wealth to the people and it has brought unprecedented development. We must all applaud this.

“This is not about my party affiliation but it is about performance; it is about achievements; it is about visionary leadership qualities. And I can tell you, by his actions and stellar performance in the last three years, Governor Bello has transform Kogi State and ready to transform Kogi State into another Dubai. I am an APC member but as a leader, I must give credit to whom it is due,” Omade stated.

Commenting on the effort being made by the administration in the area of tourism and agriculture, Omade maintained that the sustenance of Igala, Ebira and Okun Carnival deserved commendation.

He said the promotion of agriculture by making credit facilities and farm implements accessible to the ordinary farmer in the state was a “pointer to the fact that the Governor Bello-led administration is committed to boosting food production in the state.”
