Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu of Ankpa II State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly has felicitated with his constituents, Kogites and indeed Nigerians at the country’s 59th Independence Anniversary.
In a statement released on Monday night by his Senior Legislative Aide, Comr A. M. Nasiru, the lawmaker urged leaders at all level to focus on good governance and effective service delivery which he described as necessary prerequisite for relative peace, progress and development to take place in the country.
“Only purposeful leadership and good governance can bring us back to the dream of our past heroes and heroines that paid the Supreme price for our nationhood,” he said.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to commiserate with the families of those who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which claimed over ten lives during the weekend at Opulega in Ankpa.
While commiserating further, he stated that death is an inevitable reality and so prayed God to accept the soul of all faithfully departed souls, comfort their loved ones and give their bereaved families the fortitude to bear the painful losses.
Hon Rabiu then congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the independence anniversary further reassuring constituents that his stewardship remain focused to work for the progress and development of the area as well as the collective good of the people.
