Ahead of the forthcoming governorship primaries of the All Progressive Congress (APC) delegates from Yagba Federal Constituency have pledged to support the aspiration of Professor Seidu Onailo Mohammed.
In a statement released by Kunle Jones Obafemi, spokesman of the delegates, after a meeting in Isanlu on Friday, the Yagba party men said having looked at all the aspirants, they are convinced that Seidu has the requisite credentials to move Kogi state out of the woods of underdevelopment.
The delegates noted that having x-rayed all the governorship aspirants seeking the APC ticket, they have come to a conclusion that Prof. Seidu is the best hand to rescue Kogi state from its present sad state.
“It is our candid opinion that if given the ticket, Prof. Seidu has what it takes to not only win the November governorship election, but has the wherewithal to deliver a new lease of life for Kogi people.
“Our decision to adopt Prof. Seidu Mohammed Ogah is based on his leadership qualities, his successful career in public service and acceptability by the electorates,” the statement read.
They described Seidu as a break from the old political actors who have failed the state, has a good heart, with an unblemished track records.
The delegates urged other delegates from the state to take a cue from Yagba Federal Constituency and adopt Seidu as the party flagbearer.
They called on APC leaders to allow competence, capacity and credibility drive the selection process.
Professor Seidu Onailo Mohammed is the immediate past Director General of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) and a frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 12 governorship election in Kogi State.
