The Administrator of Okene local government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has enjoined Muslims to show love to one another especially the needy.
Muhammad made this known on Sunday when he joined the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim and the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello at the Central Eid Praying ground in Okene to observe the two rakaat Eid Prayer.
He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah on the peaceful celebration of Sallah and urged the people to go out and continue the peaceful celebration as security arrangements have been put in place. Both conventional and under cover security agents have also been deployed to ensure absolute security of lives and property.
In his Sallah message, the Acting Imam of Ebiraland, Sheikh Salihu Abere advice to Muslims to be prayerful and shun hatred to their fellow human being as only true and sincere love to one another can entrenched peace in Ebiraland.
The Muslim leader commended the efforts of the State Governor on the payment of salaries ahead of Sallah, saying people are really smiling and happy for the gesture. He prayed that Allah will continue to guide the Governor in his quest to transform Kogi State to an enviable height.
