Members of the Audu/Faleke faction of the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi West senatorial district have resolved to re-position the party in the state.

Arising from a meeting in Kabba on Monday, the group vowed to restore the party’s lost glory in the state.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Hon. Femi Ibileke said the group is unhappy with the pains the citizens have been through in the past three years and have resolved to correct the anomaly before November 16 governorship election.

He stated that the current situation in the state was caused by usurpers who were not part of the team that traversed the length and breath of Kogi state during the 2015 electioneering campaigns.

He lauded the commitment of Hon. James Faleke for his leadership and love for the people of Kogi State.

“We have decided to take the bull by the horn and salvage our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Today, the party is associated with pains, hunger and disappointment due to non-payment of salaries and other anti-people policies of the state government. We sincerely apologise to the good people of Kogi state for this.

“We must, however, note that this is not the same APC that the good people of Kogi state voted for in 2015. What we have today in government are usurpers who are reaping where they did not sow.

“Our leader and rallying point, Hon. James Faleke has been an inspiration with his unalloyed love for Kogi state. Though representing Ikeja Federal constituency in the Green Chamber, Faleke has remained committed to the APC here in Kogi state.

“The Audu/Faleke group in Kogi West have been meeting and will rally our teeming supporters for a true change on November 16. We will not fold our arms while the state continue to suffer. We have resolved to save and re-position the party,” he said.

He called on members of the group to keep hope alive as the party will be reclaimed and revived before November elections.
