A Kogi state governorship aspirant and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim has assured the people of the state of a new dawn.
In a message to a Tafsir organized by Muslims of Edo State extraction in Lokoja, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim urged Kogites to be hopeful as a new dawn is about to be born under his leadership when elected as governor.
The PDP governorship aspirant assured that Kogi state will overcome its challenges.
He disclosed that as a state blessed with abundant natural human resources, Kogi has no business with poverty if the right steps are taken. The governorship hopeful assured that Kogi State will emerge a state of prosperity instead of poverty and hunger.
“As we pray, I urge all to pray for a prosperous Kogi state. Let us also spare a thought on the sufferings we are facing now. A new dawn would change our story under my leadership,” he said.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, prayed God to accept the fasting and supplication of Muslim faithful in the ongoing Ramadan. He also called for prayers toliberate Kogi people from thuggery and electoral violence that has characterized elections in the state in recent times.
He urged Kogi people to use the current challenge to be their brothers keeper, in love and in sharing with the needy.
