The attention of Kogi State Chapter of Public Office Holders Association of Nigeria, an Umbrella body of former and serving public office holders in Nigeria has been drawn to a press statement credited to one unknown body claiming to be the apex body of Ex Political Office Holders in Kogi State State.
The watery press statement purportedly endorsed a particular Kogi State gubernatorial aspirant Former Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Jibril Usman.
The press statement signed by one imposter Hon. Suleiman Adaji who claimed to be the secretary general of the body is what it is in entirety – a joke!
It is worthy of note that our body is laced with integrity and members have built high level of confidence on our existence and one of the reasons for this confidence is because we have never ridiculed our association before any politician or either as an aspirant or as a serving public office holder by jumping to endorse aspirants where the constitution of the land, political parties and the electoral acts made adequate relevant provisions.
This is one of the highest level of impersonation and an abuse on the existence of our body. Hence, we are by this publication, issuing out a week ultimatum to Hon. Suleiman Adaji to show signs of remorse for his dubious act by tendering a letter of apology to our body publicly or stand the risk of being legally addressed in a competent court of law.
We have had enough of these greedy fellows who will not mind selling out the integrity of an existing association all for their pockets to be heavily impregnated with cash even at the expense of such a body’s integrity.
Let it be clearly known without ambiguity that on no account have our Association issued an official press statement weighing support behind any aspirants. We play advisory roles whenever it becomes very necessary.
We will also advice Admiral Jubiril Usman (rtd) not to allow himself to be cajoled, fooled or be mocked by the so-called Hon. Suleiman and his masked group.
