We have a responsibility to bring about change despite the seeming odds because that is the only way we can ensure credible and selfless leaders that would use available resources and power to provide this generation and the next a secure sustainable society that will be stronger and more prosperous than the one we inherited and live in now.

We cannot continue to rant impotently and wallow in self-pity. It’s about time we draw strength, lessons and purpose from our experiences, good or bad. We must teach our people to learn not to repeat errors that have kept us back as a people. Appropriate responses to events of history will help sustain the pursuit of progress and common good.

What we have in Kogi State presently and for the past 31/2 years is an intellectually lazy political class who essentially represents a criminal enterprise for advancing self-interests to the detriment of the well-being of the people.

It is only those afflicted with insanity that will not understand the quagmire we are in, in Kogi State. By now, it must be clear to all right thinking persons that this is certainly not the time for continuity as the lackeys and cronies will want us to believe. Incompetence, ineptitude and cluelessness do not deserve continuity but change. That is what will happen come November, 2019. Change from poverty to prosperity for all. Change from neo-servitude and outright bondage to freedom. Change from despair to hope for a brighter future.

Can this change be possible with Gov Yahaya Bello’s return to Lugard House? The answer is NO! NO!! NO!!!

What rabbit does the white lion have in his hat that he has not brought out in the open corridor of performance in the last 31/2 years?

This is the question intelligent people need to ask him and his foot soldiers and insist on satisfactory answers. Is it sane to be somersaulting in ecstasy in celebration of failure as a Governor? If the definition of the support for the second term ambition of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a referendum on his past stewardship of over 3 years, then the reasonable verdict should be an indictment.

Despite the nerve grating cacophony of sycophantic hangers-on who have made an industry of the business of decking Governor in ill-fitting superlative attire, his tenure as a Governor when measured with all known standards is a complete failure. It is strange that these embarrassing irritants would believe they should be celebrated for failure and expect people to worship at their feet and treat them as messiahs when in normal climes they are nothing but thieving felons.

If we want change with all its consequential benefits, we must elect a new set of leaders and vote out those that have failed us because a vote for Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a vote for retrogression.
