Hon. En-Habib Abdullah, the Accord Party House of Assembly candidate for Adavi constituency in the just concluded elections has adopted Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye as his political leader.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, En-Habib said Senator Dino Melaye is the only politician in Kogi State he is looking up to as a role model.
“His achievements endeared him to me. Sen. Dino Melaye’s political sagacity is second to none, and as an emerging leader, looking up to him as guide is one of the best decisions I have ever taken politically,” he said.
He stated that Melaye’s contributions on the floor of the Senate would have served him a template in the State Assembly if he had succeeded in the State Assembly elections.
Hon. En-Habib who offered himself for service and effective representation to the people of Adavi has huge antecedents in human development and his support for the youths of Adavi over the years in private capacity is commendable.
In the past few years, En-Habib has developed youths within Adavi and Kogi-Central on digital inclusiveness under the platform of En-Habib Initiative on Free ICT Education.
He appealed to Sen. Dino Melaye to adopt him as his godson and recognise him as an emerging leader who is looking up to the lawmaker for political direction.
He congratulated his mentor on his reelection, thanked the people of Kogi-West for standing firm behind Melaye and wished him the very best in the ninth Senate.
