Hours ago, a semi literate who parades himself as the director general, media and publicity to Kogi state governor, Kingsley Fanwo appeared on an Africa Independent Television AIT programme to insult the political sensibility of the entire people of Ebiraland and Kogi Central, and even went further to rubbish the memories of our sons and daughters who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the struggle for a peaceful and sane political atmosphere devoid of thuggery, all forms of animosity and character assassination, and an atmosphere that guarantees and gives equal right and opportunities to all irrespective of religion or gender.
The aide of the governor who is renowned for his careless and reckless utterances was quoted to have made the following comments during the said AIT interview “The point she (Natasha Akpoti) did not understand is the culture of where she comes from, the place is predominantly made up of Muslims and they don’t usually support women. If they are supporting a woman she must conform to some Islamic qualifications and in her own case she has not been able to do that”
I do not understand or know on whose order or authority Kingsley Fanwo said what has been credited to him. What I do know is that the sane people of Kogi Central senatorial district has never and would never allow a lunatic and moron from a very remote village of Takete Ide in Kogi West to come and misrepresent us.
If Fanwo’s intention is to raise a dust of religious disharmony and gender discord in Ebiraland then I think the security network should invite him and his sponsors for questioning before they succeed in instigating religious crisis and turning Ebiraland into a theatre of chaos and political unrest.
With morons like Kingsley Fanwo holding key and strategic positions in the administration of governor YahayaBello, one now fully understand the reason for the lacuna and communication gap between the state government and the good people of Kogi state.
With lots of information and clarifications needed to be done by way of educating Kogites and carrying them along on the different policies and programmes of government if Fanwo thinks it is part of his job to comment on matters that do not officially or directly concern the state government then he needs to visit a psychiatrist for an urgent medical attention.
Despite the series of attacks, campaigns of calumny, harassments and political intimidations currently going on across Kogi state all aimed at ‘killing’ the voices and rising profiles of the opposition candidates, especially in Kogi Central district of the state, the people of Ebiraland who are now more politically aware are resolute to go out enmass to vote for their preferred candidates. Our people have never been divided along religious or gender line and it won’t begin with the forthcoming election.
Somebody just whispered to me that Kingsley Fanwo is an evangelist. Come to think of it, what manner of an evangelist talks recklessly with the aim of creating chaos and religious crisis among the people? A fake evangelist, I suppose.
Kingsley Fanwo, Ebiraland is not like your tiny Takete Ide village where you are not even known, stay away from issues you know nothing about. For your information and education, Kogi Central doesn’t have a political culture that discriminates along religious or gender line. Let common sense prevail.
