In full preparations towards success in the forthcoming general elections, the APC LG Campaign Councils were inaugurated today sequel to the Kogi Central APC Campaign Council which was inaugurated few days ago at the State Capital, Lokoja.
The political programme which was held today at Okene Coca Cola Depot was superintended by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello ably represented by Alhaji Yahaya Karaku, the Kogi Central Elders Advisory Council Chairman.
In attendance at the inauguration ceremony was the Kogi Central APC DG Campaign, Hon. Abubakar Adagu Suberu; APC Zonal Party Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Abdulsalam Ahovi; Administrators of the Five (5) LGAs in Kogi Central and as well the members of the various LG Councils.
The Kogi Central DG Campaign set the programme in motion by delivering his keynote speech. Hon. Adagu read out the composition of the Campaign Councils in the State, Central Senatorial District which of course, he said would be replicated in the Local Government level.
As contained in his speech, he referred to the APC Council Members as men of integrity whose experience he believed would come to bear in the assignment. On that note, he charged all to give in their very best so as to actualize the aims and objectives of setting up the committee; which is for the success of the Party during the elections.
The DG furthermore, appealed to the members to be united, dedicated and as well ensure that they work assiduously for the success of the Party during the forthcoming elections. “It’s pertinent upon we all to return victoriously with bulk votes, President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC Candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The Zonal Chairman of the Party agreed with the previous speaker as he strongly asserted the need for unity, cohesion and full determination to succeed. Hon. Ahovi charged all Council members to relate harmoniously with one another for the progress of the Party and success at the polls.
Afterwards, the LG Council Administrators who are Chairmen of the APC Campaign Council in their respective LGAs read out the names of the members.
Thereafter, Alhaji Yahaya Karaku on behalf of the Governor inaugurated the LG Campaign Councils across Kogi Central. In his speech, he called for synergy between the components and as well among members in order to make APC successful in the forthcoming elections.
Earlier, goodwill address were given by some Elders across the five (5) LGAs in which they declared their readiness to cruise APC to victory in the forthcoming elections.
