A foremost and renown students leader in Okun land, Comrade Ajagun Opeyemi Samuel has settled the school fees of twenty students at Ejiba, Yagba West local government of Kogi state.

Ajagun who has been taking a radical approach toward the welfare of Okun students expressed worry over the inability of some parents to pay the schools fees of their children.

In a statement made available to this reporter after the payment of school fees, Ajagun explained how he felt challenged and disturbed the last time he visited his community knowing fully well that some students will not be able to return back to school due to non payment of school fees.

Ajagun said: “I was in this town to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ last year, when I came around, I was able to be notified of the inability of some less privileged students to pay their school fees in the last term which will directly affect them from having a smooth and robust educational program this term, I felt concerned, disturbed and not happy with this development that I made my mind to do everything possible at my disposal to make sure that something good is done. Thank God, today, I came down home all the way from Abuja to play my own quotas as a students leader and as an ordinary citizen who believes that making impact to the society is not based on stature, status rather it is based on how passionate you’re to give back to the society which one must do.

“Today, I am a student and I have face a lot of financial challenges which I am still facing now but that does not prevent me not to make meaningful impact and contribute to the enhancement of educational program of the little children. NAOS or no NAOS, we will continue to do our best and lay a good foundation for our people to emulate.

“I urge all Okun sons and daughters, students leaders to please, assist the students in their educational pursuits, I believe Okun land will be great in our generation, nothing can stop this.”

Ajagun came to the school with some students leaders, including president of Yagba West students and few of his executives, while offsetting the bill. The students leaders counseled the students on the need for them to be punctual, responsible and face their studies as there is no way to success unless through education.

It would be recalled that the University of Abuja student had once shared a thousands copies of exercise books customized with Okun map, distributed food items to orphanage homes across Okun land, filled some potholes among others.

While leaving Local Government Secondary School, Ejiba, Ajagun after addressing the students promised to give each and everyone of them mathematical set and exercise books as most of them confessed not having the educational materials to write.
