Sequel to reported political crisis in some parts of Ihima last night, the Ohi of Ihima, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Ogido Abdulraheem, has weighed in, giving the assurance to use his weight and influence to put a stop to further escalation of the crises.
This comes as suspected thugs took law into their hands and unleashed mayhem and killings to rival political party supporters in the area just few weeks to the scheduled senatorial election in Kogi central.
The traditional ruler, who spoke exclusively to this journalist this morning, disclosed that relevant security Agents are on top of the situation and gave the assurance that a permanent solution will soon be put into the matter.
Alhaji Ahmed gave the assurance that the government of the day would act promptly and take necessary steps as deemed appropriate to ensure that such unfortunate incidence does not occur again.
It will be recalled that Ihima community is gradually becoming a hot spot for manifestation of acts of thuggery and brigandage by suspected criminal elements in the area.
