Salihu Ibrahim: We Have Lost A Patriot, A Nationalist Par Excellence – Prince Onyekehi

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Job Creation, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman has expressed sadness over the death of General Salihu Ibrahim (rtd), who died yesterday in a London hospital after a brief illness.

In a condolence message he personally signed and made available to newsmen through his public relations officer, Comrade Ahmed Saka Bachido, Onyekehi said the death of General Ibrahim is a huge loss to the nation.

He the deceased as a patriotic nationalist par excellence who has contributed significantly and meaningfully to the development of Nigeria.

According to him, late General Salihu Ibrahim was one of the dedicated generals in the Nigerian Military who served as the Chief of Army Staff under the Military administration of General Ibrahim Badamasiu Babangida and fought during the Nigerian Civil War to save the union from disintegration.

He said General Salihu Ibrahim will be deservingly honoured and remembered for his dedication to national assignments and selfless services he has rendered particularly, in the creation of Ajaokuta Local government and in uniting the people of Nigeria.

Prince Onyekehi prayed that Allah will continue to console his entire family members, the entire Ajaokutans and the good people of Kogi State for this irreparable loss.
