All is now set for the 12th edition of FOSLA U13 Soccer Competition billed to commence on 13th of December at the football pitch of Kogi State University, Anyigba, Kogi State.
The yearly football tourney which is solely sponsored by former President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi has helped discovered latent talents from Eastern flank of the state.
Nine local governments comprising the Kogi East as well as Lokoja LGA will be participate at the competition where outstanding players will be awarded scholarship to the FOSLA Soccer Academy in Karishi, Abuja.
According to Mallam Ahmed Abdullahi popularly known as ‘Ajakpo’ who is the events manager, preparation are in top gear to make this year’s FOSLA Cup more colorful and memorable.
He disclosed that the participating LGA teams are expected early in Anyigba on 13th of December for the screening, seminar and draws which will kick start the competition.
He added that ancient Qua Iboe Primary School, Idah will host the final where winners will smile home with a giant trophy and cash prize.
Idah LGA are the defending champions after beating Omala LGA 2-0 in last year’s final.
