“The Council under my leadership as a servant – leader, is one that will unite Kogi youths together.
“We are the history that will be talked about in no distant time. What we choose to write with our present will definitely be read out as our history.
“We have chosen to unveil the hidden strengths and creative potentials in our youths to make them to be useful to our dear state and the larger global community.
“We will promote creativities, innovative ideas, entrepreneurial, active participation in politics that will promote peace, progress, growth and development in our state.
“We are promising to run a transparent administration that will leave no single youth in the dark of not knowing what is happening in the council,” Alonge said.
He said that his leadership would pursue greater synergy with the state governments and be very supportive to government’s policies that would enhance growth and development in the state.
“We will function on an all embracing system where everyone will be able to make contributions irrespective of how small or big it will be.
“We believe everyone’s contributions will go a long way in making the administration achieve success.
Alonge expressed gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his benevolent to Kogi youths especially as shown in his appointments of youths occupying almost 90 per of his cabinet.
The Chairman of the Council Electoral Committee, Mr Suleiman Farouk, described the election as peaceful and successful without any form of hitches.
Farouk, who was a former chairman of Kogi NYCN, noted that the Kogi NYCN chairman’s seat became vacant due to the resignation of the immediate past chairman, Oladele Nihi.
In his remark, the immediate past chairman of the council in the state, Mr Oladele Nihi, urged the new chairman to build on his achieved successes while in office and learn from his mistakes.
Nihi, however, expressed confidence that the new chairman would move the council to a greater level, saying “Let the constitution be your guide and pay attention to details”.
