I shouldn’t have responded to this lame but calculated attempt at deliberately castigating the person of Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji, but I have to do it so as to save the many Adoji’s that will fall or be taken on by this hired messenger in the near future.
Dr Victor Alewo Adoji and Echocho are two different persons with distinct dispositions to the affairs of life, and in their various capacities as well as philanthropic gestures have affected the lives of their people in many forms. I’m not out to condemn any, both of them are illustrious sons of the land, so my response shall be in plain and simple register of L2 and in line with the issues raised in the falsehood deposed by one Odih.
The opening paragraph of the falsehood, “…We cannot get a good politician out of a man who sees politics as way of having worldly and personal connections and enrichment, …Some of the people vie for political positions in Igala land do so because they see politics as a quick way of getting cosmic power and personal riches…”
I want to debunk this judgement because this is purely fallacy of generalization. Igala land is blessed with the best of brains (intelligence) who combined that in solving prevailing political, economic and social situations, but like we all know it’s a one person at a time thing, that those who previously got the opportunity did not live up to expectations does not mean there are no better ones among them, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji is one of such best ones as well as many others.
In the second paragraph; “…I wrote an article early this year when a vox populi vox dei post was published on facebook as to who, either Jibrin Isah Echocho or Victor Adoji, makes a better Senator. I presented Echocho as a more sellable candidate going by his generous, helpful, emphatic and connective antecedents and his humble mien. Echocho is a home grown politician…”
On who is sellable as a candidate in the race for Kogi East senatorial slot, based on current or present popularity, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji is far ahead of Echocho. Given his positive disposition towards a better society, he took out time to teach in various schools for free then in those days upon graduation, he has done plenty of unannounced philanthropic gestures, because according to him, he is and was not doing that for any reward but for humanity sake. So his attempt at representing Kogi East in the Red Chambers is not based on what he has done as a helpful gestures but based on his capacity, accessibility and connections as well his understanding of legislative responsibilities coupled with his zeal to bargain for the best for the good people of Kogi East senatorial district.
According the ill-composed and false garnished piece; “…As an aspirant wishing to represent Igala land and the Igala people in the Senate, I expect Mr Victor to take the problems and challenges of the people he wishes to represent as his…”
Here is another misconception of the person of Dr Victor Alewo Adoji. Ask to know. Record has it that there are various community projects to his credit, including boreholes and other community needs.
The same piece maintained that; “…Aside the fact Mr Victor has no record of any community or human development project…”
There are plenty of human development gestures of Dr Victor Alewo Adoji, many indigent students in tertiary institutions enjoy his academic support programs, ranging from tuition fees and others. Also, large numbers of WAEC and NECO candidates yearly get registered by him. Added to these is his assistance to the sick. So, how else will you describe human development project? I think these are hatred induced assumptions.
In the concluding part of the malicious post, Mr Odih opined on the piece by Dr Adoji appreciating well-wishers on his birthday that; “…In the article, Mr Victor generously outlined that religion and ethnicity are the bane of development of the land… Expressing happiness over people who wished him a happy birthday. Mr Victor failed regrettably to address the poverty and insecurity in Igala land and the situation where a child was stolen from Peniel Hospital and Maternity Anyigba…”
Let me also put it to you that on the issue of security, you don’t reveal strategies, it’s an intelligent thing and it will be unwise revealing the collaborative efforts put together by our kinsmen, including Dr. Victor Adoji in checkmating insecurity in Igala land. You may wish to ask to know more. But the one I must mention here is Dr. Victor Adoji’s gestures to the good people of Omala whose houses were burnt during crises. He graciously supported them in the bid to rebuilding their homes.
Igala land will be qualitatively represented at the Red Chamber come 2019 given the ideas and purposefulness with
which Dr Victor Alewo Adoji is coming up with.
We must come together and support this course for this is purely a new positive beginning in our dear Kingdom.
All options considered, Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji is the right choice.
