Ankpa: Hon Rabiu Alfa Calls For Government Presence In Okpoku

The honorable member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Alfa Momoh Rabiu has called on the state government to extend its presence to Okpoku community in Ojoku district of Ankpa local government area of Kogi state.
The lawmaker made the call through a motion he moved at a plenary session of the house at Ankpa on Wednesday 9th May, 2018 wherein he lamented how the community has suffered neglect by government despite its agricultural prospects and hardworking population.
In his motion, he further decried lack of basic social amenities such as electricity, good road and potable water in the area urging the house to compel the ministry of rural development to capture it in its Rural Access and Mobility Projects.
While supporting the motion, the honorable member representing Idah constituency, Hon Haruna Idoko Musa described the motion as very rich and eloquent adding that the importance of rural areas cannot be overemphasized especially in the discussion of agricultural sustenance.
Also speaking, Rt Hon Ali Akuh of Omala constituency noted that his legislative interest is zealed towards the grassroots as he is of them and hence strongly support the motion with a prayer that the executives acts fast about it.
After additional contributions which were all in support of the mover, the motion was later adopted by the speaker upon the house unanimously voting in favor of the resolutions prayed by Hon Rabiu Alfa.
