“What message are we passing unto our youths if we reward beauty pageants, entertainers better than a first class genius? A lady who made the nation proud was left alone to struggle her path through life with no incentives from the ministries of Education, Justice, Youth and Women Affairs” she added.
According to her, Fatima epitomizes the essence of female-worth and capability stressing that she has not only done Nigeria proud, she has made Kogi State and the entire Ebiraland proud.
Akpoti further used the medium to draw the attention of all stakeholders to Fatima’s unfortunate story which she warned ought to serve as an “eye opener to the harsh realities of our generational misfocus which grossly affects our collapsed economy”.
While calling on governments at all levels, well-meaning Nigerians and private organisations to invest in human capacity building of individuals with such potentials,  Barr Natasha said such incentives would propel young Nigerians to study hard and perform well in higher education.
“It hurts deep when we see other countries appreciate their own and even our citizens by going extra miles to support education by celebrating young heroes through scholarships. My prayer is to see one or more prominent government and non-governmental institutions come to the educational aid of our beloved Fatima” she concluded.
