“We call on the Army, the Police and all other security agencies to intervene promptly and remove these criminals from our midst; it is the priority of government to secure the lives and property of its citizens.
“The State Government should also do all it can, including empowering local vigilante groups across the state, who understands their terrain better to stop these marauding herdsmen, who harbours the potentials to rubbish all the huge investment made into security by this government.
“We state unequivocally that the killers must be apprehended and justice must have its way for the benefit of our defenceless citizens.
“We understand that tempers are high at the moment, it is justified.
But we call on the youths, especially those in the affected areas not to take laws into their hands by launching reprisals attacks.
