Congratulations the golden voice of the Senate, Senator Dino Melaye representing the wonderful people of Kogi West Senatorial District in Kogi State.
His Popular quote; “If you tell the truth, you will die, if you tell lies, you will die, so why not say the truth and die” ushered him into the new political atmosphere. Dino has proven his worth and today he is one of the most respected Senator, envied by all and by whoever believes that the voice of his people must be heard.
Senator Dino Melaye is the Chairman, Senate Committee of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Senator Dino Melaye became a household name in all the families in the nooks and crannies of Nigeria because of his unrelenting effort to provide purposeful and exemplary leadership in the Senate.
Melaye was elected and honoured with the award of the best Senator 2016. He has sponsored several bills but the most important bill among many is the establishment of University of Agriculture, Kabba. That is, the upgrading of the present College of Agriculture to a degree awarding institution. The bill has passed the first and second reading. The bill will bring direct impact on his people.
Senator Dino Melaye also influenced a number of appointments at the Federal level. He attracted over thirty Federal projects to Kogi West Senatorial District, spread across the seven local governments. Schools and hospitals have been built with other critical infrastructure.
In 2017 Budget, he influenced over 56 projects are in the present budget running into billions notable among them is the Kabba – Ilorin express road.
The voice of commoners, as I normally call him, he is the advocate of true justice. Today, even his political rivals can’t deny the fact that Senator Melaye has earned himself a remarkable title “DISTINGUISHED!”. The title being misused by many who don’t even understand the true meaning. In the 8th National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has boldly distinguished himself among many.
Dino Melaye is a true patriot and a man with a unique style. He will be decorated with the ‘2017 Nigerian Parliamentary Award’ at an international ceremony in February 2018.
The epochal event will be witnessed by some serving Governors, former Senate Presidents, Speakers, members of the National Assembly, members of the Federal Executive Council, political leaders and the media amongst others. This is an honor well deserved and I pray this development will encourage you to do more.
I call you a ‘Unique Senator’ because apart from being the loudest voice we have in the Red Chamber, you are also one Senator who can boldly point out many constituency projects you have executed.
Some senators have executed constituency projects but find it difficult to initiate or contribute to any debate that will redirect the executive arm in the right direction.
Talk of constituency projects, you are one of the best and talk of a loud voice, you are always in the lead. We are proud of you. I and my wife-to-be are proud of you. The ‘Project Kogi First’, that will inaugurated soon, is proud of you too .
It is also worthy of note that Senator Dino Melaye’s position on Fulani herdsmen killings in Benue State, when he boldly called on the President and Commander in Chief, President Muhammed Buhari to sit up, has earned him a position as a totally committed patriot.
