I have received the news of Barr. Femi Mokikan’s emergence as Okun Development Association (ODA) president with great delight and reassurance in the oneness of Okun sons and daughters.
Barr. Mokikan who emerged based on popular demand has in the past years committed himself selflessly to the development of Okun land. We are therefore confident in his ability to do more while he holds sway as the leader of the umbrella body of Okun people both at home and in diaspora.
While I also salute other aspirants for the courage demonstrated before and during the polls and the spirit of sportsmanship displayed after the elections, I’ll like to encourage them to rally round the new leadership of the union in a bid to tighten the fabrics that has long held our people together and also chart a greater course for the Okun race.
‘Mr Mokikan of 7up’ as I’ve always christened you from my university days, I heartily celebrate your new feat. Congratulations are also due to the immediate past executives while the biggest toast goes to the entire Okun land.
