Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali has expressed grief on the sudden death of his maternal cousin, late Group Captain Adanu Gabriel Ochai.
In a press statement issued by the Senator’s media office, Aidoko described the late officer as a fine gentleman who built a robust career in two decades.
Late Ochai, who was an instructor with the Nigerian Air Force died while returning from Lagos on official assignment in an ill-fated flight that crash landed in Kaduna killing only him.
Senator Aidoko stated that the death of the young officer will create an everlasting vacuum not only to the family but the military profession.
Aidoko recalled the early days as contemporaries while growing up ,saying the potentials to thrive in his chosen career was glaring and top most in all his conducts and activities.
Late Ochai was interred at military cemetery in Abuja. He is survived by his elder brother, Brigadier General John Ochai, aged parents, brothers and sisters.
