The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has called on Kogi state pilgrims for the year 2017 hajj to be good ambassadors of the state and Nigeria in general as he charges them to respect foreign laws as well as been wary of contraband.

The respected honorable made the call shortly after his completion of medicals and final clearance to embark on this year pilgrimage in the Holy land of Mecca and Medina.

In his words: “apart from the whooping amount of money expended on visa and other traveling arrangements, hajj is an important pillar of Islam which must be sacredly upheld and to do this, we must all imbibe the act of obedience as well as doing away with all the items and materials that are internationally prohibited” he said.

Speaking further, he urged pilgrims not to relent in prayers for the state and nation at large stressing that better days are in offing but peace and resolution for selfless services must be attained before anyone can guarantee progress as no meaning developments can be achieved in an atmosphere of instability and self serving greed.

It will be recalled that the Kogi state pilgrims welfare commission has earlier announced the securement of traveling visa for about seven hundred intending pilgrims. With these developments, Kogi state pilgrims are set to fly via the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja to join their counterpart from all over the world in performing this year hajj.
