Conferring the award held at the Press Centre, Nigeria Union of Journalists in Lokoja, President of the group, Bamidele Awarun described Mr. Emmnuel, as an able ambassador of the youths and a community developer.
According to him, Yagba Youths from all walks of life are proud to be associated with the progressive disposition of the awardee, and called on other up-and-coming leaders and politicians from the area to take a clue from the person of Mr. Emmanuel.
In his words: “We, the youths of Yagba, especially those of us in Yagba Integrity Group, are proud of the person of Mr. Ekundayo Emmanuel. He has been a man of many positive talents and passion for the progress of Yagba people.
“We are in an era where people with pure zeal to see that society moves forward are very rare. The situation where somebody like Mr. Ekundayo has continued to impact on Yagba youths without expecting anything in return is very difficult to come by.”
Reacting, Mr. Ekundayo Emmanuel expressed gratitude to Yagba youths for finding him worthy of their award, and assured them of his commitment to developing the area and contributing to advancement of youths.
The awardee, who was represented at the event by Comrade Owah David, described the award as one capable of spurring him to do more for his people and said he would not be tired of impacting positively on them.
