Kogi Govt, Ohueje Ohinoyi Partner on Ebira Cultural Festival

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has pledged his administration’s support to any cultural festival that seeks to unite Kogi people and improve the state’s economic advancement.

 

 

A statement made available to newsmen said the governor made the pledge in Lokoja when he received the executive foundation members of Ohueje Ohinoyi, a cultural body from Kogi central district on courtesy visit to him.

 

The group, led by the Coordinator/ Chairman of Ohueje Ohinoyi cultural troop, Mallam  Sheidu Adinoyi Tijani, informed the governor that a date for the maiden cultural festival would be announced soon, adding that the weeklong festival would feature trade fair, exhibition of Ebira products and project the rich cultural heritage of Ebira citizens.

 

Alhaji Bello described the project as a good one capable of fostering unity among the people and said the endorsement of the project by the paramount ruler of Kogi central, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, underscored the pivotal role the cultural festival could play in fostering unity and improving cultural rating of Ebira people by outsiders.
