The National Automobile Council (NAC) in collaboration with SURE-P and SMEDAN has trained 57 automobile mechanics technicians in Kogi State.
The National President, Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), Chief Michael Omonayin, said the programme is aimed at equipping auto technicians with the necessary skills to repair modern generation vehicles to retain their jobs in line with the newly approved National Automotive Industry Development Plan.
According to him, the training is necessary to upgrade technicians capacity building, saying that it would enable the technicians switch from manual automobile to auto capacity.
He said the training will be a continuous exercise for them to acquire new skill to handle new modern vehicles imported into the country. He called on other automobile technicians to embrace the programme to meet up with the automobile dynamics.
