**Council chairmen are rogues, thieves, armed robbers, deceitful set of human being

Local government performance has been likened to that of  thieves, lackadaisical leadership and betrayal of hope for the common man.

The Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada, who was not happy with the council bosses’ action to good governance dropped the hint during the stake holders meeting with members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) at the Lugard House yesterday in Lokoja.

“Infact the council chairmen are rogues, thieves, armed robbers and deceitful set of human being”, he said.

He also announced to party members that all of the party chairmen ceased to be signatories to the account of the councils in the state.

“Henceforth all the local government council boss ceased to be signatories to the council’s bank account again from this moment upward”.

Captain Wada who was not happy with several complaint emanating from many party stake holders expressed sadness over non payment of council workers’ salaries and allowances for many months.

Also at the meeting many issues relating to party primaries and consensus candidates were discussed and finalized.

Vital information from the national secretariat in Abuja were delivered at the venue of the crucial meeting to all members.

Those that attended the meeting include the state Deputy Governor Arc Yomi Awoniyi, out going state Party Chairman, Comrade Hassan Salawu, Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Momoh Jimoh Lawal and other political office holders across the 3 senatorial district of the state.
