His country home in Bassa-Nge Kingdom and he is the Ma’aji of Bassa-Nge. He is known to be a philanthropist of repute in the Bassa-Nge nation and even in the entire Bassa Local Government Area and beyond. The title Ma’aji was conferred on him by the Etsu of Bassa Nge Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abubakar Ali, who deemed it fit to confer the title on Tim Nda Diche because of his numerous achievements and philanthropic gestures.
Hon. Nda Diche to many people is a symbol of good leadership and humanitarianism who by his previous achievements in the private sector and as a chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, showed that he is capable of representing the good people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency in the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly in 2015.
Many people who spoke about him describe him as a high profile citizen of Kogi State because of his intelligence, charisma and pragmatism, the qualities he possessed that identified him as a worthy politician of repute. He is a politician that stands out amongst other politicians in Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency and even Kogi State in general.
Being the chairman of Diche Foundation, he has assisted a lot of people; such as the widows and orphans by giving bedding materials, scholarship and distribution of motorcycles to the youths and assorted household goods to the less privileged within Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency. This humanitarian gesture took him to the far away Bida in Niger State where he was awarded a leadership role model by His Royal Highness, the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, Chairman, Niger State Council of Chiefs.
In his intent to stop poverty and bring succor and development to Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, he read out and interpreted his plan which will include lobby home development/infrastructure to the people of his constituency through Federal, State and Non-governmental organization if elected into the House of Representatives in 2015.
According to aspirant Nda Diche, another cardinal objective of his ambition if elected is to promote the role of parliamentarianism, unite the people of his constituency for peace and progress and also assist the leadership capacity by alleviating poverty through micro-credit schemes and provide free health and education services to his people.
Many voices which have been singing for the support of Honourable Diche have reverberated throughout Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency and his popularity has been slowly climbing up which has given him overwhelming advantage. With this general support, the Ma’aji of Bassa-Nge Kingdom seems to have got and received the confirmed cooperation of the people of his constituency. This is because many of them said, if Nda Diche wins election to the House of Representatives in 2015, they would have access to him and even get various dividends of democracy, the qualities of which is not common of the present representative from Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
When Hon. Nda Diche visited Hassan Ado, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Dekina Local Government Area in Emewe Ogane on the day the chairman was doing the second burial ceremony of his father he reiterated that his decision to go for the House of Representatives is to lobby the presence of the federal government to Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency. He disclosed this to the press, adding that his footprints as a former caretaker chairman of Bassa Local Government is an apparent evidence that could lure people into supporting his ambition.
As the caretaker of Bassa Local Government then, Honourable Nda Diche succeeded in putting many things in place, such as prompt payment of staff salary, rehabilitation of Gboloko and Sheria Markets and brings peace to Bassa Local Government, the feat which was not common of previous chairmen.
Hon. Diche who also visited Peter Aduku in Biraidu District, the Coordinator of his Campaign Organization to console him over the death of his son, stated that his preparation for the House of Representatives in 2015 is based on the clarion calls by the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency to salvage them from their present predicament of absence of federal government’s presence and development in their constituency.
He stressed that at the expiration of the tenure of the member representing Bassa Constituency in 2007 in the name of Isaac Jimba (now deceased), Dekina produced Positive Ihiabe between 2007 and 2011 and presently, Dekina has another product in the name of Tom Zekeri, saying it is clearly worthy for Bassa to have its turn in 2015, the stance that necessitated him to come up.
According to Peter Aduku, the Coordinator, Nda Diche Campaign Organization, Tim Nda Diche has been very anxious to represenrt Dekina/Bassa in the House of Representatives to attract home development saying that now that the executive governor is from Dekina and the present member representing Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency is from Dekina, they should give a Bassa man the opportunity to represent the constituency in 2015.
