Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State yesterday tasked the Super Eagles to do Nigeria proud as they tackle Team Melli of Iran today in Curitiba, Brazil.

A statement signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Jacob Edi, reckoned that the national team had the potential to make Nigeria excel at the World Cup.

“The team should be focused from the first match till the end,” the statement said.

“Indeed, with the quality of players and coaches of the Super Eagles, the sky will be the limit for Nigeria at the World Cup,” it added.

Governor Wada, however, enjoined Nigerians at home and abroad to support the team with prayers to enable them to re-enact their African Cup of Nations performance
