Newly resumed Head Coach of the Nigeria Women Football League (MWFL) side Confluence Queens, Oluwole Babatunde vowed to make the Lokoja-based queens “a national champion”.

Coach Oluwole who is fondly called “Santana” by colleagues and friends made the statement through the club’s spokesperson Tosin Ojo, believes the Confluence girls under his tutelage “will witness a successful turnaround”.

Santana assured on assembling a formidable team capable of displacing the likes of Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, who are touted as the power house in the Nigeria Women Football.

The former River Angels and Bayelsa Queens gaffer while stating his determination to build Confluence Queens FC into a team to beat in the country, promised to convert his garnered wealth of experience in the women football circle to repositioning the club.

He nevertheless urged club’s supporters, stakeholders and football lovers in the state to rally behind the team in helping his side
achieving it robust targets.

Santana who was hired from Agbor-based C.I. Angels FC issued a note of warning at the old and new players to fight for their place in the open screening, stressing that no automatic shirt will be reserved for any player.
