Kogi Govt Donates Transformer to Police

The Kogi State government has donated a N500 KV transformer to the state police command. Handing over the transformer to the police commissioner, Hilary Okpara, the Commissioner for Rural Development, Muhammed Ada Umar, said the state government would continue to assist federal agencies in the state in the area of electricity.
He said the transformer which has been energized by the PCHN would serve the police headquarters as well as federal and state courts in the area.
He added that the government also provided a 500KV transformer for the Federal University, Lokoja, and a 30KV generator to the Federal Polytechnic Idah.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, Hilary Okpara, said the gesture will boost electricity supply at the headquarters and its environs.  He commended the state government for the gesture.
