Two victims of the Ibaji floods in Kogi state have committed suicide having been frustrated by the huge losses they incurred.
A news reporter in Idah local government of the state said so far sixteen other victims have died in the 17 camps set up for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Investigations also revealed that 2 persons including a 4 year old boy died yesterday afternoon at the IDP camps. “We are facing problem with distribution of food due to shortage. There are about 30,000 victims in the camps and we are using two bags of rice to feed about 2000 persons in each of the camps,” an official told our reporter.
