Kogi Backwardness: Senator Abatemi-Usman Faults Past Governors

Senator representing Kogi Central, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman has stated that those who administered the affairs Kogi state in the past did nothing much to put it on the path of greatness.

Abatemi lamented the state’s inability to record  any meaningful development in its 21 years of existence.

He further lamented that despite the numerous mineral and natural resources in the state, Kogi had remained backward, particularly when compared to other states that were created at about the same time.

The lawmaker stressed the need for the Captain Idris Wada-led government to endeavour to make a difference in the affairs of the state.

Senator Abatemi-Usman maintained that the state had a very bright future, if only those in charge of affairs in the state adopt the right strategy to harness its abundant God-given resources for the well-being of the people.
