The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, has described the ongoing local government council election across the 21 local government areas of the state as seamless, transparent and credible.
The Deputy Governor made this known on Saturday shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 10, Egwubi, in Ofu Local Government Area.

Speaking with journalists after exercising his civic responsibility, he expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and praised the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for ensuring a smooth and hitch-free exercise.
He urged all eligible voters with valid Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to come out in large numbers and exercise their franchise at their respective polling units across the state.
He also expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would emerge victorious across the twenty one local government areas and two hundred and thirty-nine electoral wards.
