There comes a time when silence becomes surrender, and hesitation becomes self denial. For Kogi West, that moment has arrived, and the message must be unmistakable: come January 2028, the next Governor of Kogi State must emerge from Kogi West.
Enough is enough.
This is not a campaign of hatred against Kogi East or Kogi Central. It is a legitimate demand for equity, fairness, and political rotation.
We cannot continue to preach the unity of Kogi West while simultaneously supporting political arrangements that deny our senatorial district the chance to produce the next governor.
You cannot claim to be fighting for Kogi West’s governorship while insisting that it is not yet our turn. These two positions cannot logically stand together.
Brothers and sisters, let us come back home together. Let us return to the larger interest of Kogi West. Let us return to the struggle for equity and justice.
Political parties will change. Political alliances will shift. Politicians will come and go. But Kogi West will remain our home and our collective destiny.
When a credible, competent, and acceptable son or daughter of Kogi West emerges on a viable political platform, our support must transcend party boundaries.
First, we are Kogi West. Then, we are members of political parties.
The objective is not to produce a governor who will marginalize others. It is to produce a governor who will lead the entire state with fairness, competence, inclusion, and the fear of God.
We must not let this moment pass us by again.
Let the message travel from every community in Kogi West to every corner of Kogi State:
2028 IS KOGI WEST’S TIME.
Let us unite. Let us organize. Let us stand together. Let us make history.
