Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the citizens of the state on the occasion of Kogi State’s 35th anniversary.
In an official commemorative message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the milestone as a significant period to reflect on the state’s journey, celebrate its accomplishments, and re-dedicate efforts toward future progress.
Describing Kogi State as a “confluence of peoples and possibilities,” Prof. Usman highlighted the state’s rich endowment in human capital, vibrant culture, and natural resources. He noted that despite historic challenges, Kogi State has maintained unit, strength, and steady advancement across multiple sectors.

The university leadership specifically commended Governor Ododo’s administration for its strategic focus on key governance pillars, including infrastructural expansion, human capital development, fiscal discipline, and institutional strengthening.
“His administration’s support for education and tertiary institutions across the state is commendable,” Prof. Usman stated. “Prince Abubakar Audu University appreciates the enabling environment provided for teaching, learning, research, and innovation.”
The Vice-Chancellor concluded the tribute with prayers for continued divine wisdom for the state’s leadership to sustain democratic ideals, good governance, and shared prosperity for all residents.
