Rt. Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN felicitate with the Muslim Ummah across Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency on the occasion of Eid Moulud, urging them to use the celebration to reflect on the life, teachings and enduring legacy of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN emphasized that the birth of the Holy Prophet symbolizes peace, compassion, tolerance, unity and love for humanity, values he said should guide Muslims and indeed all citizens, especially as the nation approaches another political season.
The lawmaker called on constituents to remain peaceful and united throughout the campaign period, during the election and after the results are announced, stressing that political differences should never be allowed to destroy the bonds of brotherhood and community that unite the people.
He appealed to political leaders, supporters and youths to embrace issue-based campaigns, mutual respect and responsible political engagement, reminding them that elections come and go, but the people and communities remain.
According to him, the greatest honour to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is not merely celebrating his birth, but living by his teachings of peace, justice, patience, forgiveness and love for one another.
Hon. Haruna wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Eid Moulud, praying that the occasion would strengthen unity, deepen understanding and bring lasting peace, progress and prosperity to Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
