The Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda Shelika-Nyamkpa 1V, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitri greetings to Muslims in Lokoja, Kogi State, and Nigeria, praying for Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the state government.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Friday, the monarch expressed gratitude to Almighty God for sparing lives during the just concluded Ramadan fast, saying the period demonstrated the fear of God, sacrifice, selflessness, humility, love, self-control, and moral uprightness.
He urged Muslims and Nigerians to embody the virtues of Ramadan in their daily lives.

HRH Shelika-Nyamkpa lV urged Muslims to make these virtues their daily standard, saying they are essential for building a society where peace, joy, and regard for each other become the strength for social and economic development.
The Etsu Lokoja also prayed for the acceptance of Muslims’ Ibada and acts of benevolence, and for the grant of their heartfelt desires and prayers concerning themselves, families, Lokoja, Kogi State, and Nigeria.
He wished the state and the country peace, safety, economic prosperity, and victory over threats to national security.
“May God grant our State and Nigeria as a whole great peace, safety and economic prosperity as well as victory over every threat to our national security,” he said.
The monarch also prayed for Governor Ododo and his cabinet.
“May the Almighty God continue to increase wisdom and courage upon our indefatigable Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Cabinet as well as all leaders of thought for more impactful leadership and governance in our dear Kogi State,” he added.
