The North Central Youths Support Group for Tinubu 2027 has applauded the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for signing the new Electoral Reform Bill into law, describing the development as a significant step toward strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions and enhancing electoral credibility.
In a statement released by the leadership of the organization, the group emphasized that the reform represents a strategic advancement in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, reflecting both legislative diligence by the National Assembly and decisive executive leadership by President Tinubu.
According to the group, the collaboration between the executive and legislative arms demonstrates a renewed institutional commitment to transparency, accountability, and credible electoral processes.
Speaking on behalf of the organization, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Hon. Hassan Omale Atayoma Hffia — a former Member of the House of Representatives and current Executive Director of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority — described the new law as a forward-looking policy framework capable of repositioning Nigeria’s electoral architecture and strengthening public trust in democratic governance.
He noted that sustained electoral reform remains central to national stability and democratic legitimacy, stressing that the legislation has the potential to improve electoral administration, reinforce institutional accountability, and encourage broader citizen participation in governance.
The group further called on Nigerian youths, particularly across the North Central region, to actively support democratic reforms and engage constructively in the political process. It reiterated that youth participation remains essential to building inclusive governance structures and sustaining democratic progress.
In addition, the organization urged citizens across religious divides to utilize the spiritual periods of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season as moments of reflection and prayer for national unity, peace, and responsible leadership. The group emphasized that moral renewal and civic responsibility must complement institutional reforms in order to achieve lasting national development.
Reaffirming its broader mission, the North Central Youths Support Group for Tinubu 2027 stated that it remains committed to grassroots mobilization, democratic advocacy, and promoting policies that foster unity, economic growth, and sustainable national progress.
