Hon. Musa Olumayowa Yakubu (MOY), former House of Representatives aspirant and leading political voice in Ijumu land, has commended the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, for its strong show of solidarity with the Iyamoye community during the final burial rites of the late monarch, Oba Ibrahim Ademiluyi Momoh, Amuwajoye I, the Obaro of Iyamoye.

In a statement on Sunday, Hon. Yakubu described the massive turnout of ADC members, under the leadership of Dr. Idris Rufus Olorunfemi (IDRUFEM), as a clear demonstration of the party’s growing grassroots strength and its deep connection with the people at critical moments in their collective history.

According to him, the presence of the party leadership and members at such a culturally significant event reflects ADC’s commitment to respecting traditional institutions, honouring community values, and standing with the people beyond electoral seasons.

The burial ceremony, held in Iyamoye, attracted traditional rulers from across Ijumu Local Government Area, prominent political leaders and stakeholders from within and outside Kogi State, as well as sons and daughters of the community, further underscoring the strategic importance of unity among political and traditional leadership.

Hon. Yakubu noted that the gesture has further strengthened the bond between ADC and the people of Iyamoye, reaffirming the party’s resolve to build a people-driven political movement anchored on respect, inclusion, and service.
