The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, on Thursday commissioned the newly renovated Lokoja Area Command Headquarters.
The event marked a significant milestone in the Command’s ongoing efforts to improve policing infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and strengthen security architecture within the State.
In his address, the Commissioner of Police commended the sponsor of the project, Sir Abdulrazaq Isa Kutepa, for the laudable gesture and emphasised that the renovation of the facility would greatly enhance operational efficiency, boost officers’ morale, and improve service delivery to members of the public. He reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to community partnership, professionalism, and proactive policing.
The CP further emphasised that the Kogi State Police Command remains steadfast in its mission to provide a safer and more secure environment for all residents of the State, the event concluded with the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, a guided tour of the renovated facility, and photographs to commemorate the occasion.



Present at the ceremony were Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council; Col. Kabiru Ndamadu (Rtd.), representative of the project sponsor Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Kutepa; Alh. Mahmud Alhassan, the Rogan of Eggan, representative of the Maigari of Lokoja; District Head of Giwa, the Uban Doma of Zaria, Kaduna State; Mallam Tijani Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of PCRC, Kogi State; and several other distinguished dignitaries from across Kogi State, members of the press, and well-wishers.
The ceremony featured a welcome address by the Area Commander, goodwill messages from the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government and the representative of the Maigari of Lokoja, as well as a special message delivered on behalf of the project sponsor.
