A foremost political group of the All Progressives Congress, Kogi APC Renaissance Forum, has appealed to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Alhaji Yakubu Ajaka and others who left during the previous administration in the state to return to the party and support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.
The group, through its spokesman, Adejo Emmanuel, stated that the days of intimidation and destructive politicking in Kogi state are over as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not subscribe to violence and political intimidation as witnessed in the previous administration of the APC in the state.
The Forum stated that “Yahaya Bello was only able to reign terror and instill fear in the minds of Kogites because of the false narratives he sold to the late Former President Muhammadu Buhari and some other members of his administration including heads of security agencies” and that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a true democrat who will not allow such tendencies to prevail anymore in APC Kogi State Chapter.
The forum revealed that the choice of who will fly the party flag in both the National Assembly and Governorship elections in the state come 2027 will not be determined by a single individual as it was the case in time past.
The group further stated that in view of the outstanding achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC will win the 2027 Presidential election convincingly in Kogi State without the usual violence and coercive tendencies of the former Governor.
