The member representing Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. (Elder) Leke Joseph Abejide, has extended warm Christmas greetings to his constituents, urging them to embrace the values of love, peace and unity that defines the season.
In his Christmas message, Abejide described the Yuletide as a period of reflection, gratitude and renewed hope, calling on residents of the constituency to use the occasion to strengthen communal bonds and support one another, especially the vulnerable.
He noted that despite prevailing economic and social challenges, the spirit of Christmas offers an opportunity for collective resilience and compassion, stressing the importance of caring for widows, the elderly and less privileged within society.
“Christmas reminds us of the virtues of love, sacrifice and service to humanity. It is a time to share, forgive and renew our commitment to peaceful coexistence and community development,” Abejide said.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Yagba Federal Constituency through people-oriented projects, empowerment programmes and legislative interventions aimed at improving the welfare of constituents.
He thanked residents for their continued support, cooperation and prayers, which he said had been instrumental to his achievements in office, and assured them of sustained representation at the National Assembly.
Abejide also urged youths to remain hopeful and law-abiding, while calling on community leaders and stakeholders to continue working together for the progress of the constituency.
He wished all constituents a joyful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year, praying for peace, good health and greater development across Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Federal Constituency.
