The commissioning of the DAM Foundation Complex, Okene Club marked a significant milestone in community development and public–private partnership in Kogi State, with His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, delivering a thoughtful and reassuring address at the event.

In his speech, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the vision, commitment, and integrity of the DAM Foundation, describing the complex as a product of purposeful leadership and selfless service to the people. He noted that the transformation of Okene Club into a modern and functional facility reflects what can be achieved when genuine passion for development is matched with decisive action.

Most notably, Governor Ododo officially handed over the Okene Club Complex to the DAM Foundation for management. He emphasized that it was both logical and appropriate to entrust the facility to the very hands that conceived, built, and delivered it.

The Governor further affirmed his belief that the DAM Foundation would manage the complex with responsibility, accountability, and professionalism, ensuring it remains a valuable public asset for social, civic, and developmental engagements. He encouraged the Foundation to sustain high maintenance standards and to protect the facility for the benefit of present and future generations.

The commissioning and formal handover reinforced the Ododo administration’s commitment to partnering with credible institutions, promoting community-driven development, and ensuring that public facilities are entrusted to capable and responsible hands. It was a clear statement of trust, shared vision, and collective responsibility for the sustainable development of Kogi State.
