Ahead of the 2014/2015 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, the management of Kogi United FC has appointed former Chelsea Football FC, U-18 trainer, Yomi Godwin Elijah, as their new head coach.
The 42 year old Elijah who has a coaching experience in the United Kingdom, UK will be with the Wada Boys as his appointment takes immediate effect and assist the club to achieve greatness.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the Confluence State club, Mallam Abdul Adama, Elijah’s appointment was based on his impressive records in training footballers both on and off the pitch.
He noted that Elijah is expected to bring his wealth of coaching experience to bear just as he charged him to maintain discipline and focus in the team.
Elijah, who managed ABS FC in the just concluded league season, expresses joy over his recent appointment and promised to bring out the best in the players adding that Kogi United would achieve desired result during his term.
Yomi Elijah will work with former Super Eagles defender and FC Copenhagen player, Abdul Sule in Kogi United.
