Engr. Muhammed Yusuf Ahovi
Commissioner for Works,
Kogi State.
Sir,
I write this open letter with deep respect and a profound sense of civic responsibility to appeal to your good office on a matter of great importance to the people of Okene-Eba, Ahache, Enyinare, and adjoining communities in Ebiraland.
Sir, we humbly request the construction of a strategic road network that will stretch from the entrance of Alhaji Sheik Abdulmalik Atta Mosque, Okene-Eba-Okene, passing through Ida-Agidibo, bursting out through the interchange to Enyinare and Ahache, and extending down to Agassa.
This proposed road network is of immense economic, commercial, and social importance to the people living within these areas. It serves as a major link for daily commercial activities, agricultural produce movement, access to worship centres, schools, healthcare facilities, and general socio-economic interaction among the communities. The present state of the road has continued to pose serious challenges to residents, traders, farmers, and road users, especially during the rainy season.
Honourable Commissioner, your outstanding performance, engineering expertise, and visible commitment to infrastructure development across Kogi State are well acknowledged and highly commendable. Your dedication to quality road construction and urban renewal has continued to give practical meaning to the infrastructure-driven agenda of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
In view of this, we respectfully appeal to you to use your good office to facilitate the inclusion of this critical road project in the 2027 budget appropriation, as a way of strengthening and complementing the transformative efforts of His Excellency in delivering people-oriented development across the state.
We are confident that under your purposeful leadership, this appeal will receive favourable consideration. The people of Okene-Eba, Ahache, and Enyinare will duly appreciate you for responding positively to this call, and history will remember your role in opening up these communities for greater economic growth and social integration.
May God continue to grant you wisdom, strength, and good health as you serve Kogi State with distinction.
Long live Ebiraland.
Long live Kogi State.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Yours faithfully,
Yusuf Nuhu
