Imane Chiefdom Honors Veteran Journalist Ben Adaji with Peace Ambassador Title

The Imane community in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State has honoured veteran Journalist, Hon. Ben Adaji, with the prestigious chieftaincy title of ‘Abujah’ Oda Ojiji Imane’ (Peace Ambassador) in recognition of his career excellency, humility, philanthropic exploits and uncommon courage.

HRH Ibrahim Callistus Salifu, the Oda Ojiji of Imane, who conferred the title on Adaji at a colourful coronation ceremony at his palace in Imane, said that the traditional council deemed it necessary to reward Hon. Adaji with the title so as to encourage others to follow in his footsteps.

The coronation rites which took place through out the night of December 5th and the turbaning process was witnessed by dignitaries from within and outside the state.

The Oda Ojiji of of Imane, HRH Ibrahim congratulated the newly inaugurated title holder and tasked him to carry on his duties of reconciling all aggrieved parties within Imane Chiefdom with all sense of responsibility and dedication he is known for.

Hon. Ben Adaji, a veteran Journalist with several decades of experience on the job, is currently the Taraba State Correspondent of Aljazerah Newspaper. He also contested for the House of Representatives in Ankpa, Olamaboro, Omala federal constituency, Kogi State in the 2019 and 2023 general elections respectively.

In his remarks, Ben Adaji appreciate the Oda Ojiji and the entire Traditional Council for finding him worthy of the recognition and honour and pledge to stick to the rules guiding the title.

He promised to use his wealth of experience and the understanding of the entire Imane District to reconcile every gray areas for the peace and harmonious existence of the community.

A reception was held in his honor at his residence in Aboh Ojikpadala community where a significant number of attendees described the coronation as an honor well deserved.
