The Igbo community in Ebira land has condemned a radio announcement by an alleged impostor, Sunday Patrick Muonoka, who addressed himself as the Eze Ndigbo in Egbiraland.

The President-General, Association of Igbo Community in Ebira land, Chief Joseph Anikwe (JP), said they have no Eze Ndigbo in the area.

In a press statement on Monday, Chief Anikwe said the message carried in the announcement, purportedly stopping the activities of the Association of Igbo community, is no effect and should be disregarded by the public for obvious reasons, as the Association is duly registered and legally backed.

Chief Anikwe said the announcer, who addressed himself as Eze Ndigbo is not a registered member of the association, saying he has no authority over the affairs of the association.

“As the leader of the Association, we need to respond to the radio announcement in order to correct the misinformation the announcement has carried to the public domain,” he said.

The President General described the announcer as being driven by self-illusion.
